Overview

PressAnalytica ("we," "us," "our") operates the website pressanalytica.net and provides an AI-powered content intelligence platform for WordPress publishers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create a PressAnalytica account, we collect your name, email address, and payment information (for paid plans). Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor — we do not store your full credit card number.

1.2 Google Analytics Data

When you connect your Google Analytics account via OAuth, we receive read-only access to your GA4 property data, including pageviews, sessions, traffic sources, geographic data, device information, and user engagement metrics. We access this data solely to power your PressAnalytica dashboards and TARA AI responses.

1.3 WordPress Content Data

We fetch publicly available content metadata from your WordPress site via the WordPress REST API, including post titles, authors, categories, tags, and publish dates. We do not access draft content, private posts, user passwords, comments, or any personally identifiable information about your readers.

1.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with PressAnalytica, including pages visited, features used, TARA queries made, browser type, device type, and IP address. This data helps us improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the PressAnalytica service
  • Power your AI dashboards, reports, and TARA AI responses
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send you important service updates and security notices
  • Respond to your support requests and inquiries
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve product features
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your analytics data with any third party. Your data is used solely to power your PressAnalytica experience.

We may share limited information with the following categories of service providers:

  • Payment processors: To process subscription payments (e.g., Stripe).
  • Cloud infrastructure: To host and deliver the service.
  • AI providers: To power TARA's natural language capabilities. Your analytics data may be sent to AI model providers for processing, but is not used to train their models.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Data Retention

The retention window for your analytics data is set out in the written terms agreed for your install. Data older than that window is automatically purged.

Account information (email, name) is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete all your data at any time from your account settings.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • OAuth-based authentication with Google (we never see or store your Google password)
  • Read-only access to your Google Analytics property
  • Role-based access controls within the platform
  • Regular security reviews and updates

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: You can view all data PressAnalytica holds about your site through your dashboards.
  • Disconnect: You can revoke Google Analytics access at any time from your account settings.
  • Delete: You can delete all your data directly from your account settings — no friction, no hoops.
  • Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your account is deactivated at the end of the billing period.

7. Cookies

PressAnalytica uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication (keeping you logged in), remembering your preferences, and understanding how the product is used. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or serve advertisements.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the service.

8. Children's Privacy

PressAnalytica is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. By using PressAnalytica, you consent to the transfer of your information to facilities that may be outside your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the service. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
